I had a mixed experience at The Reserve At Paradisus Punta Cana. The great concierge service from Yarol was definitely a highlight, making my stay more convenient. However, I faced issues with outdated room amenities, mosquito problems, and tricky dining options that were not as varied as I expected. Overall, while there were great aspects, some serious issues dampened my experience.

Rooms
6.0
My 1-bedroom master suite was spacious, with a living area and a stocked refrigerator, but the decor felt a bit dated. I also ran into hot water issues during my stay.
Service
9.0
The concierge service from Yarol was excellent and made everything easy. He was always available and went above and beyond to help, making travel with my kids easier.
Location
7.0
The hotel is beautiful and has great access to the beach and pools. However, the mosquito situation was quite bad, especially around the restaurants at night.
Dining
6.0
While the food was good and presented nicely, the variety was limited and I found the selection monotonous—especially at breakfast and lunch.
Facilities
5.0
The resort offered several amenities, including pools with swim-up bars, but I found housekeeping to be slow, which was frustrating with little ones needing naps.

7.4/10

I had a mix of experiences during my stay at The Reserve At Paradisus Punta Cana. The grounds were beautifully maintained, and my room was quite spacious, but the service left much to be desired. While some aspects of dining were decent, overall, the food quality was disappointing, especially for a resort. I appreciated my family concierge, who made an effort to accommodate our needs, which helped ease some frustrations.

Rooms
6.0
The room was massive and had a private jacuzzi for us to enjoy after a long day at the beach. However, there were some issues with cleanliness; for example, I noticed dust on the towels and a musty smell in the linens.
Service
5.0
The service was quite inconsistent. While the family concierge, Elaine, was excellent and responsive, other staff members were often disorganized and not very helpful, which made the experience stressful.
Location
8.0
The location was lovely with beautiful landscaping and a close walk to the beach. The beach area offered nice lounge chairs and cabanas, which contributed positively to the ambiance.
Dining
5.0
Dining was a letdown; the buffets were small and lacked variety. Some meals were okay, but the overall quality didn't meet my expectations for a resort. The best options were the fresh fruits, which was surprising given the setting.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were decent, with a good pool area and landscaping that made the resort visually appealing. However, access to towels was often limited, which detracted from the experience.

I had a mixed experience at The Reserve At Paradisus Punta Cana. while the pool was fantastic for my kids and the location was convenient for nearby activities, the food was quite disappointing. The service varied from friendly to unhelpful, and the room we stayed in was showing some wear and tear that I didn't expect for the price we paid.

Rooms
6.0
The room had a nice king bed and a great bathroom, but the pull-out couch was flimsy and there were some maintenance issues. I appreciated the upgrade to a pool-facing room, as the garden room faced a noisy road.
Service
5.0
Some staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, but others were indifferent. it felt hit or miss. The attentiveness at the pool was good, but interactions at the front desk could be improved.
Location
7.0
The hotel's proximity to the airport and attractions was great. however, getting around the large resort was a hassle at times, especially late at night with kids after dining.
Dining
5.0
The food was a major letdown for me. the buffet often appeared appealing but the taste was lacking. I only found a couple of decent meals at specific restaurants, while most options were subpar.
Facilities
5.0
The leisure options were decent, but the size of the resort meant a lot of waiting for transportation. and the beach was often too windy for us to enjoy fully.

I had an overall wonderful stay at The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana with its beautiful pools and fantastic beach vibe. The room was lovely, especially with the swim-up access. However, I encountered some issues with other guests using our patio loungers and had a few hiccups with room temperature adjustments.

Rooms
9.0
My swim-up Junior suite was decorated in modern, relaxing tones and equipped with helpful amenities like robes and snacks. It was a comfortable space, although a bit warm at times.
Service
8.0
The staff were upbeat and attentive, especially my concierge Starlin, who ensured we were well taken care of. Nonetheless, there were moments of confusion regarding the room's AC and lounge chair availability.
Location
8.0
The resort's location is ideal, with easy beach access. However, some guests using golf carts meant the area felt a bit busy at times.
Dining
7.0
Dining experiences were a mixed bag. While some meals were excellent — like my birthday dinner at the Winery — others were just okay. The variety was nice but could use improvement in taste, especially at the buffet.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were generally impressive with beautiful pools and beach areas, but I didn't find hydrotherapy options in the spa, which was disappointing.

My stay at The Reserve At Paradisus Punta Cana was a mix of highlights and a few disappointments. I loved the private beach and pool areas, which made my experience much more enjoyable. However, some aspects like the dining options left me underwhelmed, as the food quality was inconsistent. Overall, the service was friendly, but the resort seemed to be cutting back on certain amenities over the years.

Rooms
6.0
My room on the third floor had lovely ocean views and a spacious balcony. However, I noticed the decor and room features felt a bit dated, and I couldn't find a room option with two beds, which was inconvenient for my group.
Service
7.0
The service at the resort was generally good, with friendly staff like the bellboys Eddie Wilson and Raphael standing out. However, I did experience some lapses in professionalism, like an awkward situation when a staff member attempted to clean my room late at night, ignoring the privacy sign I had placed.
Location
9.0
The location of the resort is fantastic, right on the beach with areas that are meticulously kept. I enjoyed the designated beach area reserved for Reserve guests, which was much quieter and more relaxing.
Dining
5.0
While I ate a lot during my stay, I found the food options to be just okay at best. Many buffet selections repeated daily, and I had concerns about food safety, especially with some raw seafood items not being stored properly. The a la carte options could definitely improve.
Facilities
6.0
The resort's facilities were decent overall, with some nice amenities like car hire and valet parking, though the public areas could use a touch-up, especially by the pools. Some features felt overlooked, impacting my overall experience.
